Gel Coat Labs All Marine Glass, Clear Plastic and Clear Vinyl Cleaner
Designed from the ground up as
a MARINE Glass & Plastic cleaner!
Product review by Terry Freiberg
If you own a boat, you already
know that household glass cleaners don't work worth a darn on a boat. I know;
I've grabbed a glass cleaner out of the pantry at home or stopped at a store on
the way to the boat and picked up a leading brand glass cleaner only to have it
smear and streak when I use it on the boat. There's actually a number of reasons
for this. First, on a boat, you're dealing with three different, clear surfaces.
You have real glass (windscreens and mirrors), polycarbonate (hard plastics) and
clear vinyl (eisenglass or the soft vinyl windows in side curtains). Each
surface requires a different cleaning technology for optimum results. Next, the
chemists formulating household glass cleaners don't design for the salt residues
and films found on boats. Lastly, Uncle Sam, trying to protect the ozone, has
severely limited the solvent level that can legally be put in a glass cleaner.
The chemists at Gel Coat Labs
looked at the problem with a clean sheet of paper when they created All
Marine Glass, Clear Plastic and Clear Vinyl Cleaner. This cleaner was
designed from the ground up as a marine cleaner. It was designed to remove
dust, grime, droppings, bug residues, smudges, haze, fingerprints, and salt
water residues from glass, clear plastic and clear vinyl. To keep Uncle Sam
happy, it's VOC compliant in all 50 states.

I've had a chance to use this
cleaner for 90 days before writing this review. Other multi-surface cleaners
that I've tried have worked best on one surface, like glass, but not done as
well on hard plastic or clear vinyl. Now so with All Marine Glass, Clear Plastic
and Clear Vinyl Cleaner. It works equally well on all three surfaces. I spray
once and wipe with a Microfiber cloth (the
Dragon Fiber Glass Cleaning
Cloth)
and most of the time the surface emerges clean, bright, haze and streak free. |
